THE HOMESTEAD & Lawns
The expansive lawns of the Homestead are offered for outdoor wedding ceremonies, with multiple locations for you to exchange your vows in front of your nearest and dearest. In the case of poor weather, the newly reinstated Stables offer couples a charming & intimate indoor ceremony space featuring original bluestone, exposed timber and vaulted ceiling.
Guests will enjoy an hour of pre dinner drinks on The Lawn alongside an abundantly layered Grazing Table, before entering into the heritage listed Homestead for your reception. Enhance your guests experience by incorporating a feature cocktail or station of freshly shucked oysters perhaps?
The Homestead boats a generous and beautiful dining room opening onto a wide veranda framing the lawns, gardens and spectacular views of the fields & valley below. The indoor and outdoor reception options make it a suitable venue to celebrate your special day all year round.
On warm summer evenings, use the Homestead as a backdrop for an ‘under sky’ dinner. Our signature shared style menus are brimming with seasonal and local produce ideal for celebrations large and small, inside or out!
’UNDER SKY’ WEDDINGS
Host your guests ‘under sky’ as the Europeans do, but in a uniquely Australian rural setting with the Homestead as your backdrop.
We allow you to utilise both the indoor and outdoor aspects of the venue for a unique dining experience on the expansive Lawn and the internal space for the celebrations to follow.
MARQUEE STYLE WEDDINGS
The sky is the limit! The Homestead becomes the the perfect backdrop for a marquee or tipi style wedding celebration for up to 600 guests.

In the case of poor weather, The Miners Cottage is the most romantically, rustic setting perfect for your ‘I Do’s’. Relocated to Emu Bottom from a historic Victorian gold mining town, The Cottage is built out of timber slabs, features multiple red brick open fireplaces with exposed timbers beams and now sits on a small hill adjacent to The Woolshed.
Guests will enjoy an hour of pre dinner drinks on The Lawn under our festoon lights alongside an abundantly layered Grazing Table, before entering into The Woolshed; an ideal venue for weddings where having fun with close family and friends in a romantic yet rustic setting is important.
Originally built in 1854 from rough hewn red gum slabs, The Woolshed features a beautiful large stone open fireplace like no other. This wonderful, rustic space is known for its breathtaking ‘starry sky’ lighting installation set above the exposed timber beams making it a magnificent and atmospheric venue all the more unique for your wedding day.
